Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give people who are uninsured or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services.
- You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
- Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate in a safe place or take pictures of it.
What that looks like in this practice
Sessions are $200 for walking sessions and $185 for online sessions, each 53 minutes. Because therapy length varies, your written estimate will state the rate per session and an expected range of sessions based on what we discuss at the outset, with the note that the actual number may be more or fewer. There are no facility fees, no administrative surcharges and no separate charge for walking sessions.
A limited number of sliding-scale spots exist, subject to availability and financial need. If you are in one, your estimate reflects your agreed rate.
How to request one
Ask on the free consultation call, or contact 415.823.1760 or daniel@yourpacepsychotherapy.com. You will receive the estimate in writing before your first session, and a new one if the plan changes materially.
